A very competitive and tense match was played out in difficult conditions with a strong wind blowing directly across the pitch for the duration of the game.

Bridge were first on the scoresheet. After a sustained period of ball retention through several phases, flanker Dan Bullock dived over the try line from close range.

Pwllheli responded quickly and some astute tactical kicking from their fly half put them in the danger zone for Bridge. When Bridge conceded a penalty, outside centre Gethin Jones was first to the ball and caught the defence off guard to score a try.

Bridge continued to enjoy territorial advantage and eventually the pressure resulted in a try for prop Adam Goodwin, going over from close range to close the first half.

The second half saw both teams struggle to exert control. Pwllheli defended well holding Bridge up when over the line twice. Neither team were able to break through and despite their best efforts there was no further score in the second half.

Bridge were delighted to notch up their first away win of the season against very tough opposition and look forward to a home match against Bethesda II next Saturday.
