Bridge closed 2023 with a hard fought bonus point win to leave them top of the table at the end of the year.  Opening pressure saw Bridge pressing the try line and after a number of forward carries Vaughan Francis at scrum half bashed his way over for an early score. The remainder of the half saw Port working hard to get on the score sheet and taking advantage of a somewhat disjointed performance from the home side. Despite the pressure Bridge held firm and were rewarded at the end of the half when fly half Pat Roberts found a way to the line followed by a conversion of his own try. Bridge improved after half time and were rewarded with a fine debut try for Tobi Lewis who impressed at full back. The remainder of the half saw Bridge trying to get the bonus point try and Port working hard to get into the game. Towards the close Bridge put together an impressive pattern of phases that led to a try for number eight Tiger Hawkwind and a conversion by Pat Roberts to close the match at 24 to nil.
