Raising funds for Beating Bowel Cancer at The Great Strait Raft Run

Sunday 4th June was the date for the 2017 edition of the The Great Strait Raft Run and the club decided this year to use the event to raise funds for Beating Bowl Cancer following this disease having impacted on several former members of the club or their relatives.

An intrepid crew consisting of Colin Owen, Darren Owen, Gwyn Thomas, Patrick Roberts, Mike Halstead and Carwyn Jones represented Menai Bridge Rugby Club and set sail from Felinheli along with 31 other rafts. The lads finished the course to Menai Bridge in a respective 16th place and, more importantly, didn't lose anyone overboard on the way down the Strait.

Finally, the club has raised slightly more than £650 as at 19th June but you can still donate via the club's JustGiving page or by giving cash to one of the club's committee. Many thanks to everyone who has donated and thanks in advance to those who are yet to.
