Update on 14th February 2018 Menai Bridge Rugby Club are delighted to hear the fantastic news that Ifan has woken from his coma and taken off the ventilator. He has now been moved from intensive care. We all wish him well with his recovery.
Original post on 31st January 2018 Menai Bridge RFC are very saddened indeed to hear about the vicious assault on student Ifan Richard Owens which happened recently in Aberystwyth.
Ifan’s parents are Gareth and Mari Owens. Gareth, who hails from Llanfairpwll, and his brother Ian Owens (known as IO) played for the Club. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and wish Ifan a full recovery.
