It was a winter landscape at Rhos with snow falling and good covering on the pitch. Despite the elements the pitch was playable and an entertaining match was enjoyed by those who braved the elements.
The home team looked to play a tight game through their forwards whilst Bridge wanted to spread the ball. Rhos enjoyed a good period of possession from the off but were unable to breach the Menai Bridge defence. Once Bridge gained some territory, a back row move from the scrum provided scrum half Darren Jones with space to beat the defence and cross the try line under the posts, converted by McGrath. Further pressure on the home defence allowed Bridge to move the ball to the wing and Daniel Hughes crossed for a try. Corrie Shorock's strong running yielded another try for Bridge. To close the first half Pat Roberts sprinted down the line for the bonus point try and a half time score of 26 - 0.
The second half started with Rhos enjoying good posession but struggling to break through for a score. Darren Jones pounced on a ball that popped out of a Rhos scrum for an opportunist try. Bridge then mounted a series of attacks that culminated with Dion McGrath crossing wide out and converting from the touchline. This was soon followed by a kick through the home defence by McGrath which was chased down by Shorrock for a try. The conversion brought the score to 0 - 45. Rhos finished the match with a well deseved consolation try for their 8, Ryan Crump, who powered off a 5 metre scrum, converted by Ethan Bishop.
